Franklyn was part of the team that developed and facilitated the Audit Commission's award winning Opportunities Mentoring Programme (diversity mentoring scheme) to developed BME staff into senior management. He is currently a Board member of the National Coalition of Black Led Organisations, a Non-Executive Director of One Hand Cant Clap - a company specialising in education, motivation and personal development, and a former Board member of the Afro Caribbean Senior Citizens Club - a charity set up to reduce the isolation of BME senior citizens and increase their involvement in civic and community life. Franklyn was also a committee member of the Association of Building Engineers (Greater London Branch). He has extensive knowledge of policy development gained as part of a departmental management team at a local authority where he was instrumental in developing the Equalities Action Plan and other policies. Franklyn has knowledge and experience of benchmarking, delivering continuous improvement and technical services. His other experiences include working in the private and voluntary sectors. He has highly developed communication, inter-personal and managerial skills. |
